Something Momentous!

A while back I wanted to start posting to my blog again, but it had just been too long. I figured I needed something really momentous to post about in order to justify my return. I was told this wasn't the case, but I still never got around to it.

But now I DO have something momentous to post about. So here we go:

Isaac Paul Grimes was born Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 7:40 am.

He was 19.5 inches tall and weighed 7 Ibs, 12 oz.

We are all very excited to welcome this sweet little addition to our family.

So here is what else happened this year--

In October: Samara turned 8 and was baptized.

In January: I tore down a wall. (My camera lens was really dirty.)

For Spring Break: We went on an overnight trip to Tucson. We went to the zoo, toured a cave, and swam in the freezing hotel pool.

At the end of the school year: Ezra won third place

in the school art contest for his drawing of a dragon.

In May: The three oldest had their final recital with their piano teacher Kailei. They have all done a great job this year and we will miss Kailei.

This summer: The kids were on the swim team. Here they are with their ribbons after the first meet. It was pretty slow-going that first meet, but they have improved immensely and finished 2nd, 4th, and 2nd in their heats at the divisional meet. Way to go kiddos!
